Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 7, 2025
This policy explains how forcePomo handles personal data across the web app and Chrome extension.
Information We Collect
We only collect the minimum information required to provide forced Pomodoro syncing across the web app and Chrome extension.
- Session metadata (start/end timestamps, commit notes) stored locally in your browser or Chrome storage.
- Optional Google Calendar authorization tokens that live in Chrome identity services; we never store your Google password.
- Basic diagnostic logs kept in your device for troubleshooting; they are never transmitted automatically.
How We Use Data
- Data stays on your device unless you explicitly sync with Google Calendar. When syncing, only the session context needed to create calendar events is sent via Google APIs.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers or external analytics platforms.
Storage & Retention
- Local session records remain in browser storage until you clear them via the in-app reset options or your browser settings.
- Chrome extension data is kept inside
chrome.storage.sync, which you can wipe from the extension settings at any time.
Your Controls
- You may revoke Google Calendar permissions from your Google Account security page or sign out within forcePomo to immediately remove the OAuth token.
- To delete all locally stored information, use the “Clear data” option inside the app or clear site data from the browser privacy menu.
